As you know I am a stay at home mom, a housewife.
There are moments (rare ones, but they do come) when I think, that I am not achieving my true potential. Maybe I should study, or start up a business or something that won't be a drain on Ian, Pay my way....
But then I have moments like these:
Where I have the time to take in these special moments
And make special memories. It's in these times that The Holy Spirit reminds me, that I am doing exactly what I am supposed to be doing in this season of my life. I am also reminded of the tremendous honour, and great responsibility I have to the Father to make sure that His girls are trained in His ways.
This makes my heart smile (^^,)

Awww, I love this blog my Darling - this is the 'true treasure'. XX
ReplyDeleteNiqui,
ReplyDeleteReading this blog makes my heart happy. It brings back such happy memories. I loved being a housewife. These are treasures that not only you will remember but so will your girls. When they grow up and have children of their own; they will want to give to them these same treasures. Niqui I love the way you write. You can make me feel as though I am right there with you. I so enjoyed the pictures and that farm and the Shires are awesome. Thank you for sharing your adventure with me. Love and hugs to all. Cathy T
Such a beautiful post (as always). I needed to hear that reminder again today to cherish the importance of these special days with our children that are growing up so fast and to realise how important it is in God's eyes for us to be the mothers He has created and called us to be to our children. Thank you my sis for your wisdom. I love you so much xxx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I agree that you are doing exactly what you should be doing during this season of your life.
ReplyDeleteYou are right where you should be. When the time comes to do something different you will know.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are so cute.
Thank you for following my blog and leaving me such a sweet comment. Sometimes I wonder if anyone is reading. I look forward to reading more of your post.
Have a great weekend,

I am so grateful--SO, SO, SO GRATEFUL for loving moms like you! I did not have a loving mother all my growing up years until two years ago, when the Koenens--I call them my true family--reached out and rescued me from years of abuses I suffered. Just in two years, my angel mom (Mrs. Koenen) made so many sacrifices in her life to help me, and each day I realize more and more just how much her acts of love have touched, impacted, and changed my life. I know being a mom is not an easy thing. I do not even pretend I know, but one thing I do know is that loving moms are tremendous blessings in children's lives, because that is how God loves them too. I want to thank you for being a loving mom and all the sacrifices you make for your beloved little ones.
