Cape Town Road Trip Day 2

Good Morning (^^,)
What a wonderful day we had yesterday. We left Beaufort West bright and early yesterday and made our way into the Western Cape. Our first port of call was Wellington. We travelled through the Hex River Valley. The scenery quite literally took my breath away. every hundred meters or so, I would ask Dawn to stop, so that I could take some pic's.

I stand in awe of my Creator! Here are some of the scenes that took my breath away :)

After our time in Wellington, we made our way to Worcester. We travelled through Bain's Pass (over a mountain) For a while we were completely covered in the clouds,

Behind me is a mountain with a massive ravine

This would be Dawn and I freezing our charlies off. Please not the blue hue of my lips.... No that;s not a new lipstick shade LOL

As we were diving, we caught a glimpse of what was below us

Last shot of the day, was the sun setting over the Worcester Horse club,

We are off to a different part of the Cape today. I'm looking forward to what's in store for us.

Have a super Saturday

Cape Town Road Trip Day 1

Dawn and I are off on an adventure. We are off to Cape Town! Dawn has a number of biting consults to do, 20 of them. That's allot of work, and of course her trusty sidekick assistant's services are required! Being the kind, caring and faithful friend that I am, I humbly accepted the job as scribe.

So we set off before before the sun rose this morning. Shewpa! It was cold!

What a beautiful sunrise!
Don't you agree! I love it when ABBA paints the sky, and this morning it was my favourite colour. I love pink. It always makes my heart smile!
My word, we have packed for what looks like, we'll be away for a month. Thankfully it's just Dawn and I in the car! Not another soul would fit in...
We had breakie on the go this morning, no stopping here...
We shared the driving. I am learning not to be so controlling, LOL,
Dawn drove the first shift, and I took over at Bloemfontein. I love to drive :)
I drove until we reached The Three Sisters in the Northern Cape. It is named for 3 mountain peaks ajacent to each other. Sorry no pic... it was so overcast, they were completely covered by the clouds.
We had a lovely farm style lunch, I had a lamb pie, real comfort food on this cold day.
After lunch we had to wander around the farm stall.

Dawn took over the driving, and I was able to capture this amazing cloud formation!
It was the first bit of sunlight that we saw all day! Look!
It looks like a magnifying glass.

It took my breath away. I literally stood up on the car to get the pic!

This is my 'shot' of the day (^^,)

And this was Dawn's 'shot' of the day.

We have arrived safely in the town of Beaufort West. A pretty little spot :)

And now it's dinner time.

Psalm 8.3-9

' I look up at Your macro-skies, dark and enormous,
Your handmade sky-jewelry,
Moon and stars mounted in their settings.
Then I look at my micro-self and wonder.
Why do you bother with us?
Why take a second look our way?

Yet we've so narrowly missed being gods,
bright with Eden's dawn light.
You put us in charge of your handcrafted world,
repeated to us Your Genesis-charge,
Made us lords of sheep and cattle,
even animals out in the wild,
Birds flying and fish swimming,
whales singing in the ocean deeps.

God, brilliant Lord,
Your name echoes around the world.'
(from The Message)

We serve a Mighty, magnificent God, who loves us dearly!

You are deeply loved and treasured!

Lotsa love

His Love

This is one of my all time favourite passages in the Bible.

John 17:20-26

Jesus Prays For All Believers
(20) "I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;
(21) that they all may be as one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.
(22) And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one;
(23) I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
(24) Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You have loved Me before the foundation of the world.
(25) O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me.
(26) And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You have loved me may be in them, and I in them."

Oh this makes my heart sing!
Friends our Heavenly Daddy loves us with the same amount of love that He loves Jesus! He has loved us since before the foundation of the world.

Take a moment to digest that!

We are one with Precious Jesus, and that amazing love is in each and every one of us.

Precious one, you are deeply loved!

Let this be on your mind today (^^,)
